and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the United Methodist Church; life member of the Glenn Allen VFW Post No. 5166, Wapello; long-time member of the Wapello Volunteer Fire Department; and the Wapello Cemetery Board. He helped with the ambulance service, the VFW and his church and other organizations in Wapello. He owned and operated Siline and Johnson Manufacturing, Wapello, for many years. Survivors include three sons, Larry Brown and his wife, Sandy, of Pensacola, Fl., Dennis Brown and his wife, Joan, of Freeport, Ill., and Doug Brown and his wife, Kim, of Wapello; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, Cindy Jenkins and her husband, Bruce, of Houston, Texas, Nancy Enlow and her husband, Richard, of St. Louis, Mo., the Rev. Bill Yohe of Chandler, Texas, Tim Yohe and his wife, Kelley, of Eldridge and Linda Bullard and her husband, Jim, of Hot Springs, Ark.; and 15 stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helen Verlee; a daughter-in-law, Nancy; a grandson, Richard Bazan; and a brother, Delbert Brown.
