Edna Stewart COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Edna Frances Stewart, 90, Columbus Junction, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Junction Senior Center. Mrs. Stewart was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of George and Della Wilkerson Richardson. She married James Stewart Oct. 13, 1934, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Muscatine; Louisa County Friendly Neighbors Club; Hobby Club; and played first base with a Washington traveling softball team. She loved to sew, garden and her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Donald Stewart and wife Barbara of Columbus Junction, Frances Ruckles and husband George of Muscatine, James Stewart and wife Lucy and Howard Stewart and wife Jeannie, all of Madison, Mo.; and a sister, Alice Henry of Long Beach, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
