Robert Griffin COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa #45;- Robert C. Griffin, 78, Columbus Junction, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Columbus City Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established. Mr. Griffin was born March 27, 1924, in rural Letts, the son of Carl and Ida Fullerton Griffin. He married Dorothy Dean Carlisle Aug. 26, 1944, in Muscatine. He worked with Farm Service for 24 years before retiring. He was a Protestant by faith and a long-time member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge. He loved horses, traveling and country music. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Diane Fry of Scottsdale, Ariz., Nancy Moore of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Carolyn Griffin of Ankeny; a son, Randy Griffin and wife Peggy of Grandview; six grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Reeves of Atalissa and Beverly Griffin and Shirley Porter, both of Wheatland; and a brother, Alton Griffin of Columbus Junction.
