Charles Wesley Moffit, son of James Carson and Emma Elizabeth Heiner Moffit, was born November 15, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a 1946 graduate of Stanwood High School and attended Iowa State University. On January 1, 1955, Charles was united in marriage to Bonnie May Thurston in Rock Island, Illinois, Charles lived his life as a farmer and was a member of the Tipton Moose Lodge, Eagles and was inducted into the Hawkeye Downs Wall of Fame in 2002. Charles is survived by his wife, Bonnie Moffit of Stanwood, Iowa; daughter, Candy (Michael) Stolte of Stanwood, Iowa; and son, George (Debra) Moffit of Tipton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
