MARJORIE JONES DAVENPORT, Iowa #45;- Marjorie G. Jones, 78, Davenport, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at her home. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church, Blue Grass. The Rev. William Beattie will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Joan Bright and vocalist Vicki Teas. Pallbearers are Ron Diotte, Byron Church, Tim Hansen, Bob Hickel, Brent Kraemer and Cliff Stubbs. Burial will be at Blue Grass Cemetery, Blue Grass. Visitations are 5-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church. Services are under the direction of the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Mrs. Jones was born on July 9, 1924, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Chris and Neva McFall Tohren. She married Albert 'Henry' Jones on July 4, 1968. She retired as a bookkeeper at A Better Way Co., Davenport. She was a member of the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church, Blue Grass Lions Club and attended a Dale Carnege Course. of Milan, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Sara Carroll and her husband, Blaine, of Muscatine and Donna Alfaro and her husband, Gene, of Holland, Mich.; a stepson, Alan Jones of Iowa City; two sisters, June Brom and her husband, Roland, of Waverly and Nonie Bryan of Shalimar, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Elaine Slaight.
