Russell Marston ELIZA, Ill. #45;- Russell LeRoy Marston, 73, Eliza, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine, after a lengthy illness. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. The Rev. Richard Bishop will officiate. Pallbearers are Doug McKay, Danny McKay, Dwayne McKay, Dennis Lingafelter, Jerry Plemmons, Jeff Marston and John Marston. Burial will be at Eliza Creek Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Eliza American Legion. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Marston was born on Nov. 14, 1928, in Buffalo Prairie, Ill., the son of Linwood and Fern Bear Marston. He married Shirley McKay on May 9, 1952. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime farmer and owned Marston Trucking. He enjoyed farming and his annual family vacation in the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Eliza Community Church, Eliza Lions Club and the Eliza American Legion. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mark Marston of Ames, Randy Marston and wife Denise of Joy, Ill. and R.J.
