Helen Zogg FAIR OAKS, Calif. #45;- Helen Catherine Zogg, 90, of California, formerly of Eldridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Homestead Nursing Home, Fair Oaks. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Allens Grove Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation is 11:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Mrs. Zogg was born on Sept. 12, 1912, in Jones County, the daughter of Henry and Caroline Price Siemer. She married Herman Zogg on Dec. 29, 1938, in Davenport. He preceded her in death Aug. 8, 1994. She was part of the original staff of the North Scott Press, Eldridge, which was organized in 1967. She retired as family news editor in 1984. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, Eldrige, where she served on the Altar Committee and Cradle Rool; and a member of North Scott Senior Citizens, Davenport Women of the Moose, Plus 60 Club and the A to Z Club. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Light and her husband, Kenneth, of Muscatine and Audrey Clipp and her husband, John, of Fair Oaks; two sons, Gene Zogg of Camanche and John Zogg and his wife, Diana, of Davenport; five grandchildren; and a great-gran...[more]
