Helen Moore MUSCATINE, Iowa - Helen S. Moore, 89, of 303 Myrtle Lane, died Friday, November 1, 2002, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 401 Iowa Avenue. Rev. Michael Spangler will officiate. Pallbearers will be Richard Shepley, Mark Shepley, David Shepley, and Marvin Armstrong Jr. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Lutheran Homes, or Unity Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Moore was born on January 26, 1913, in Marinette, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Elfreda Staff Sandell. She married William R. Moore on November 14, 1936, in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Electa Chapter No. 32, a life member of the Muscatine General Hospital Auxiliary, Chapter M of the T.T.T. Society, the Lady Elks, Julia Elizabeth Board and the Geneva Golf and Country Club. Moore of Muscatine; two daughters, Marilyn Armstrong and her husband, Marvin Armstrong Jr., of Charlotte, North Carolina and Janet Shepley and her husband, Richard, of St. Paul, Minnesota; and five grandchildren, Mark Shepley, Natalie Shepley Schmidt, David Shepley, Steven Armstrong, and Amy Armstrong Pate. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
