Robert Thornton II WALCOTT, Iowa #45;- Robert L. Thornton II, 27, Walcott, formerly of East Moline, Ill., died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in Muscatine, due to a pedestrian/auto accident. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Walcott. The Rev. Esther Barton will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Kathy Luethye. Pallbearers are Joe Durham, Sandy Harper, Mike Chapman, Courtland Harper and Ben Harper. Burial will be at the Walcott Cemetery, Walcott. Visitations are 4-7 p.m. today at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. A memorial has been established. Mr. Thornton was born on July 27, 1975, in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of Robert and Elaine Harper Thornton. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed at CRST Trucking, Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed playing paint ball, motorcycles and working on cars.
