Arthur Steinbaugh GILLESPIE, Ill. #45;- Arthur M. Steinbaugh, 78, Gillespie, formerly of Muscatine, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, Ill. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. The Rev. Jim Cooper will officiate. Pallbearers are Christopher Smalley, Dan Parker, Ross Bopp and Randall Massey. Burial will be at Gillespie City Cemetery, Gillespie. Visitation is 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Gillespie. Mr. Steinbaugh was born on July 25, 1924, in Davenport. He married Gladys Mae Criger. She preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an accountant at Henderson's General Motors Garage, Muscatine, and then owned and operated A amp; G Hardward, Gillespie, with his wife from 1971 until retiring in 1987. He was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Alton, Ill.
