John Collins DAVENPORT, Iowa #45;- John Francis Collins M.D., 76, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus, Davenport. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be at Mount Calvery Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7:30 p.m. Friday, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose University or the Regina Education Center in Iowa City. Mr. Collins was born May 29, 1926, in Charlotte, the son of John and Charlotte Burke Collins. He married Frances M. Meier Dec. 29, 1952, in Sioux City. He practiced medicine as a general practioner, first in Fort Dodge, and then in Davenport since 1961, retiring in 1996. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Cunnick of Davenport and Marcia Strang of Iowa City; five sons, John Collins of Pleasant Valley, Patrick Collins of Davenport, Matthew Collins of New York City, N.Y., William Collins of Davenport and David Collins of Kamakura, Japan; two sisters, E.
