Victor Clausen Coralville, Iowa - Victor Lee Clausen, 65, of 701 Sixth Ave., Coralville, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at his home after an extended illness. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Barker Funeral Home, West Branch. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice. Mr. Clausen was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Iowa City, the son of Axel V. and Sarah E. Spalding Clausen. He married Linda Schmeichel Feb. 19, 1974, in Iowa City. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1956. He was employed at Nagle Lumber for several years and at the University of Iowa in the parking department for 20 years. He was in the U.S. Army National Guard and was an avid fan of West Branch football, Iowa sports and Nascar racing. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marie Stratton and husband Anthony of Iowa City; three grandchildren, Austin, Connor and Parker; two nieces; and several cousins.
