Harold Hass TIPTON, Iowa #45;- Harold William Hass, 87, of 1501 Mulberry St., Tipton, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, of congestive heart failure. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Carol Lamp will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Kathy Wagner and vocalist Nancy Hipple. Pallbearers are Travis Tauber, Adam Mims, Thomas VandeWeerd, Evan Tauber, Ben Mims, Steve O'Hara, Corey Keeney and Mike Moes. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Hass was born on Aug. 21, 1915, in Cedar County, the son of Herman and Kathryn Schroeder Hass. He married Edith Title on Aug. 27, 1938, in Nashua. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1934. He was a farmer. He was a member of Red Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, State Farm Bureau, Lion's Club and the Rotary. He served on the Tipton Senior Board and the Extension Council. He enjoyed fishing, golf and traveling. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard L. Hass and his wife, Karen, of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Lorraine D. He was preceded in death by his parents.
