Mildred 'Peg' Harter MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Mildred 'Peg' Harter, 94, Muscatine, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at Bickford Cottage. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. The Rev. Jim Trosen will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Faith United Church of Christ. Mrs. Harter was born April 11, 1908, in Wilton, the daughter of Leslie and Amelia Weber Knouse. She married Charles Harter Jan. 26, 1929, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Grace Duggleby and husband Richard of Muscatine; two grandchildren, John Duggleby of McFarland, Wis. and Leslie Soule of Muscatine; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and a sister. [more]
