Mildred Reed ALEDO, Ill. #45;- Mildred E. Reed, 90, Aledo, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Ill. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. The Rev. John Crede will officiate. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Mrs. Reed was born on Sept. 8, 1912, in Rock Island County, the daughter of Galbreath and Mamie McKillup Stewart. She married Oliver Reed on March 29, 1930, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1978. She attended local schools. She was a homemaker and was employed at the Coast-To-Coast Store, Aledo. She was a member of the former Aledo Moose Lodge. Survivors include three daughters, Lorenda Stoner and her husband, Jesse, of Viola, Ill., Grace Hardie and her husband, Michael, of Oakland Calif. and Nancy Slavish and her husband, Donald, of Colona, Ill.; a son, Gary Reed of New Mexico; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
