he loved music and singing and was known for singing as the 'Joy Sisters' on the weekly radio program in Muscatine. She sang in the 'Messiah' choir and a choir in Independence. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, fishing, cooking and her family. Survivors include her husband, Russell; three daughters, Bonnie Martin, Roberta L. DuBose and F. June Harvey; a son, William M. Peters; seven stepdaughters, Jeannie Lentz, Rosemary Fall and husband James, Rebecca Reyes and husband Joses, Margaret Selvig, Carol Vandell and husband Daniel, Betty Rogers and husband Harry and Shirley Cooper and husband Neil; five stepsons, Daniel Selvig and wife Dr. Dawn Stavish, Donald Selvig and wife Diane, Kenneth Selvig and wife Mary, Richard Selvig and Peter Selvig and wife Lynn; seven grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; a sister, Nola L. Nesbitt; a brother, Richard Jesse Fifield; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, Ward Donovan Peters; a brother, Clarence Leroy (Don Rey) Fifield; and a sister, LaVella Minteer.
