Julie Staats COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa #45;- Julie Lynn Staats, 49, rural Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at her home. Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church, Washington. The Rev. Larry Brown will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Mary Long; pianist, Shirley Nebel; and vocalists, Janis Powers, Jason Staats, Carmen Rogers, Chrys Vest, Lori Dice and Tamara Adkison. Pallbearers are Wilson Guengerich, Ron Nebel, Chris Leet, Dave Sterba, Dr. Curt Prior and Tom Howell. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today, with family present 6-8 p.m., at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. A memorial fund has been established to benefit the Pastor's office of Marion Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Staats was born on June 15, 1953, in Fort Carson, Colo., the daughter of Neil and Lila Downs Kemp. She married Jim Staats on June 18, 1971, in Mediapolis. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1971. She was a homemaker. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Marion Avenue Baptist Church.
