Julia Duffe MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Julia Duffe, 79, Muscatine, formerly of Wilton, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Lutheran Homes. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 213 W. Fifth St., Wilton. The Rev. Bruce Giese will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Debra Hurd. Pallbearers are Mark Andresen, Kristen Andresen, Ashley Duffe, Keith Schulty, Cira Duffe and Mike Andresen. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Wilton. Mrs. Duffe was born on Aug. 8, 1923, in Neosha Falls, Kan., the daughter of Joseph and Josephina Martinez Hidalgo. She married Clarence Duffe on Aug. 17, 1939, in San Diego, Calif. She graduated from San Diego High School in 1939. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Wilton Care Center when she retired after 16 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wilton; Wilton Senior Citizens; Wilton American Legion Auxiliary, where she was past state president in 1962; and Royal Neighbors of America. her husband, Michael, of Ankeny and Nora Steinbrech and her husband, William, of Iowa City; two sons, Edward Duffe and his wife, Anne, of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Thomas Duffe and his wife, Ann, of Georgetown, Texas; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
