Nathalee Wheeler MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Nathalee Darlene Wheeler, 79, Muscatine, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at her home. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church, 314 W. Seventh St. The Revs. Michael Bales and Richard L. White will officiate. Pallbearers are Bob Newton, Marv Bates, Adam Starkweather, Frank Lascelles, Craig Lewis and Leon Arp. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, 114 W. Fourth St., Muscatine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Nathalee D. Wheeler Memorial Fund at the funeral home. Mrs. Wheeler was born on Jan. 17, 1924, in Muscatine, the daughter of George Wesley and Martha Margaret Howell Wheeler. She married Virgil Dean Peck on Aug. 26, 1945, in Muscatine. She was a graduate of Muscatine High School. She was retired from the Janitorial Services Department at Arkansas College. She had also worked at McKee Button Company and farmed with her family in her early years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed walking, quilting, arts and crafts. or and helping others. Survivors include her husband; a son, Verlyn and his wife, Cindy, of Columbus Junction; a grandson, Brandon D. Wheeler of Columbus Junction; and a brother, Mernon Peck Sr. of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Wava Peck, Marquit Peck and Georgie Montgomery.
