Alice Louise Ingersoll Pantel

ALICE PANTEL FREDONIA, Iowa #45;- Alice Louise Lowe Ingersoll Pantel, 87, of Fredonia, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at her home. Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction. She was born on Aug. 15, 1915, in Letts, the daughter to Bert and Mollie Small Lowe. She married Wallace J. Ingersoll on March 10, 1936 in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death in 1976. She later married Charles F. Pantel on Dec. 31, 1977, in Santa Monica, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1990. She attended the University of Northern Iowa from 1932-1933. In 1959 she moved back to Iowa and worked as a schoolteacher at Orchard Grove School near Wapello. She enjoyed sports, horses, flowers, traveling and playing cards. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Roberta Jane 'Mickey' Robbins, a grandson, a great grandson and a brother, Gerald Berton 'Bud' Lowe.
