EDNA COLLIER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Edna Mae Collier, 87, of 89 Denver Park, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Trinity North Hospital in Davenport. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Ostrem of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Stroda, Robert Stroda, Ray Soltwedel, Todd Harfst, Steven Harfst and Michael Harfst. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Collier was born on August 20, 1915, in Red Wing, South Dakota, the daughter of Francis and Esther McLaughlin Smith. She married Raymond Soltwedel in December of 1931. She later married Chester Collier in 1962. Edna owned and operated the Gift Craft Shop in Muscatine until 1960. She then moved to Bushnell, Illinois, where she owned and operated the Gift Craft Florist until her retirement in 1987. Edna loved making crafts and her flower gardens.
