Franklin Burroughs MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Franklin Delano Burroughs, 70, Muscatine, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his home. Graveside services are 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Cemetery, Tipton. The Rev. Dan Schoepf will officiate. There will be no visitation. Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Muscatine, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Frank Burroughs Memorial Fund at the funeral home. Mr. Burroughs was born on March 4, 1933, in Muscatine, the son of Charles E. and Anna M. Burrows Burroughs. He had worked in the maintenance department at the Clark House, Muscatine; the former Rath Foods in Conesville; and was a self-employed carpenter. He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include four sons, William, Mike, Brian and Shawn Burroughs; four daughters, Julie Smith, Lisa Lowe, Lori Wanniger and Katy Burroughs; a stepson, Joshua Holmes; three sisters, Sadie Dietz of Davenport, Lorretta Williams of Oklahoma and Dixie Goodwin of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.
