She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Durant Garden Club. She enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends, reading about pioneers in the old west, antiquing, craft shows, singing in the church choir, bird watching, traveling with family, sewing and sitting in her four season room. She was always ready to get in the car and go somewhere. She especially enjoyed reading to 3 and 4 year-old children in the Library Story Hour and delivering books to people who were no longer able to travel to the library. Survivors include her husband; a son, Levi Schmidt of Wilton; three sisters, Alyce Mars and husband Marvin of Petaluma, Calif., June Manion and husband Kent of Topeka, Kan., Renee Kerbs and husband Denny of Abilene; a brother, Charles Lambert III and wife Nancy of Abilene, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Marie Schmidt; and a son, Paul Lambert Schmidt.
