Kenneth Isaacs ROCK ISLAND, Ill.- Kenneth L. Isaacs, 66, Rock Island, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, after complications from a fall. Private graveside services are Tuesday, July 15, at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Animal Clinic, Moline, Ill. Mr. Isaacs was born, July 25, 1936, in Muscatine, the son of Lester and Inez Corriell Isaacs. He married Sandra Friedman, June 8, 1958. He graduated from Muscatine High School and Muscatine Junior College. He graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, with a bachelor of arts degree, in 1958. He taught at Washington Junior High School, Rock Island, for 32 years, retiring in 1992. In earlier years he taught at the junior high schools in DeWitt and Nichols. He was also a realtor with the Mel Foster Co. and a tax preparer in the area for 40 years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diane Selsor and husband Jack of Rock Island; sons, Kevin Isaacs and wife Michelle of Rock Island and Greg Isaacs and wife Sharon of Schaumburg, Ill.; six grandchildren; and sisters, Marion Meadows of Elgin, Ill., and Virginia Highbarger of Potomac, Md. He was preceded in death by his parents.
