LORRAINE COLBERT COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Lorraine M. Colbert, 86, of Columbus Junction, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at the Washington County Hospital, Washington. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Pallbearers are Dave Griffin, Dan Griffin, Jerry Griffin, Randy M. Griffin and Kevin Wilson. Following services a luncheon will be held for family and friends at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with the family present from 4-8 p.m. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in her memory. Mrs. Colbert was born on Sep. 22, 1916 in Columbus Junction, the daughter of Dean and Mary Skipton Carlisle. She married Oren Albert Colbert on Feb. 15, 1951 in Columbus Junction. She was a homemaker and loved walking, babysitting and working with houseplants. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Columbus Junction.
