Gabriel Rivera MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Gabriel R. Rivera, 75, Muscatine, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center - East Campus, Davenport. Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at First Assembly of God Church, Muscatine. The Rev. Mike Bales will officiate. Pallbearers are Gabe Rivera, Joseph Rivera, Dan Rivera, Matt Rivera, Doug Rivera, Mark Reyes, Rorlando Solis and Orlando Reyes. Honorary pallbearers are Barry Rivera, David Solis, Brance Rivera, Benjamin Rivera, Isaac Rivera and Andrew Reyes. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. After the burial, a luncheon will be held at the church. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Rivera was born on April 18, 1928, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the son of Fundador and Juana Rivera. He married Julia Ann Little on Oct. 6, 1960, in Atlanta, Ga. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. He worked at International Harvesters for more than 30 years. He previously was employed at Heinz and most recently worked at CDS, Wilton. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James; three brothers, Emilio, Angel and Pedro Rivera; and one granddaughter, April Rivera.
