ALMA GOCHEE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Alma Teresa Gochee, 90, Friday, September 12, 2003, at the Unity Hospital. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2003, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Andalusia, Illinois. Casket bearers are Jon Gochee, James Gochee, Richard Gochee, Allan Gochee, Chris Busch, Michael Craven, and William Stahl. Honorary bearers are Edward White and Gordon Determan. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home and 9:30 until service time at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia, IL. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home following visitation. Memorials may be made to Birthright of Muscatine or the Women's Choice Center in Bettendorf. Alma was born February 1, 1913, in Haverhill, IA, the daughter of B. H. and Mary Ann Stalzer Determan. At age 20, she moved to the Quad Cities where she worked as a beautician. She married Alfred Gochee June 26, 1942. ch and her sons' school. She lived as a widow for 33 years in rural Illinois City. She was active in the Western Illinois Agency on Aging. For the past 12 months she resided at Bickford Cottage, Muscatine, IA, where she made many nice friends. She loved and was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking, reading, and playing cards. Survivors include her son Robert Gochee and his wife Shirley of rural Illinois City, IL; a daughter-in-law Rosemary Gochee Treonis of Lockport, IL; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; two sisters Frieda Cormicle of Marshalltown, and Antonia White of Grinnell; one brother Father Joseph Determan of San Antonio, TX; one sister-in-law Mary Determan of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Dr. William Joseph Gochee, three brothers, and one sister.
