LeRoy Jepson WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - LeRoy "Pat" Jepson, 89, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness. Services are 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, West Liberty. Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Mercy Hospital Foundation. Mr. Jepson was born on Sep. 25, 1914 in Bennett, the son of Arthur and Grace McQuillen Jepson. He married Margaret Howard on Nov. 11, 1939 in West Liberty. He was a painting contractor in eastern Iowa. He was a mushroom hunter and enjoyed fishing and euchre tournaments in his retirement. He was a resident of West Liberty for almost 60 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge in Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret Howard Jepson, infant twin sons, two brothers and a sister.
