Janice Bergen BRIGHTON, Iowa #45;- Janice K. Bergen, 56, Brighton, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident three miles south of Washington on Highway 1. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. The Rev. Cathy Whitlatch will officiate. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. Casket Bearers are John Finley, Eric Britsch, Justin Zaugg, Jason Randall, Michael Britsch and Courtney Osborne. Honorary casket bearers are Nicole Ann, Joshua Micheal, Katelynn Justine and Madealyn Cherry. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Masonic Lodge, Columbus City. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mrs. Bergen was born March 6, 1947, in Washington, the daughter of Clarence Glen and Marilyn Janice Nicola Randall. She married William A. Bergen June 23, 1960, in Washington. They later divorced. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, quilting, cross stitch, knitting, sewing, reading, crafts and playing cards. Survivors include three daughters, Jodi DeAnn Ibbotson and husband David of Columbus City, Jennifer JoAnn Finley and husband Harry of Wapello and Julie SuAnn Bergen and special friend Courtney Osborne of Washington; four grandchildren; parents, Clarence and Marilyn Randall of Columbus Junction; a sister, Judy M. Zaugg and husband Joseph of Columbus Junction; a sister-in-law, Barb Bonnichsen and husband Steve of Columbus Junction; and special friend, Jerry Britsch of Brighton. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and a brother, Jon.
