He is survived by his son, Joseph Abreu; daughter, Mary Ann (Tim) Welch; grandson, Daniel (Amber) Welch; granddaughter, Courtney (Mark) Schaller; great-grandchildren, Lucy Alex Welch; nephew, Alan (Eileen) Vieira.
