RUTH SCOTT MUSCATINE, Iowa - Ruth M. Scott, 92, formerly of 1958 Keokuk Ave., died Monday, February 9, 2004, at Muscatine Care Center. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Rev. Gerry Kahler of the High Prairie United Methodist Church will officiate. Casket bearers will be David Scott, Bill Scott, Dan Scott, Bob Scott, Bob Willits, and Gene Brookhart. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2004, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Diane Scott Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Scott was born on April 26, 1911, in Washington, the daughter of O. E. and Ora M. Custer Willets. She married Howard W. Scott on November 26, 1931, in Galesburg, Illinois. She was employed by the Muscatine School System at the Muscatine High School as a cook for 15 years. She was a member of the High Prairie United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and traveling.
