Dr. George Collodi TAYLORVILLE, Ill. #45;- Dr. George A. Collodi, 85, Taylorville, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at his home. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville. The Rev. Gerry Comstock will officiate. Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of the United States or American Cancer Society. Dr. Collodi was born May 13, 1918, in Muscatine, the son of James J. and Muriel R. Guegel Collodi. He married Joan Barker Feb. 2, 1968, in Las Vegas. He was the chief radiologist at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital from 1952 until his retirement in 1996. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American College of Radiology and the American Medical Association. Survivors include his wife; his children, John Collodi and wife Renee of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Barbara Lithander of Minneapolis, Minn., Christian D. Collodi of Taylorville and David J.
