Roger Meier SUNBURY, Iowa #45;- Roger D. Meier, 68, Sunbury, died Monday, May 17, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center - West Campus, Davenport. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Durant Cemetery. Casket bearers are Chase Grunder, Megan Grunder, Aaron Keppy, Matthew Meier, Christopher Meier and Samantha Meier. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Women's Bowling Association. Mr. Meier was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Davenport, the son of Charles and Minnie Arp Meier. He grew up working at the family general store, Meier and Company, in Sunbury where he worked until 1987. He was a photographer and had operated Roger Meier Photography since 1961. He was the Iowa Women's Bowling Association official tournament photographer for 38 years. He received the Friend of Bowling Award. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers.
