March 27, 1984. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1935. She worked as a cashier at the Corner Grocery and at Economart, both in Wapello, retiring in 1985. She was a school bus driver for 33 years in Wapello. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Delta Alpha, Wapello. She enjoyed sewing and socializing with her Nimble Fingers Sewing Club. She volunteered for many years with the Department of Human Services of Louisa County and had also been on the Food Pantry Board. She enjoyed embroidering and gardening and most important for her was to enjoy her family, including attending the many sports activities of her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Buffington and wife, Peachie, of Sperry and Loren Buffington and wife, JoAnn, of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Cheryl Curtis and husband, Robert, of Columbus Junction and Marlene Belzer and Gary W. Brown of Mediapolis; six grandchildren, including Leslie Boling, a grandson that she raised, and his wife, Joni of West Burlington; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Leota Boling; and four brothers, Cecil Eversmeyer, Earl Eversmeyer, Herbert Eversmeyer and Delbert Eversmeyer.
