Robert Dill MEDIAPOLIS, Iowa #45;- Robert Lee Dill, 73, Mediapolis, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at the V.A. Medical Center, Iowa City. According to his wishes, his body was cremated and his family will hold private graveside services at a later date. Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dill was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Canton, Mo., the son of Jesse Merle and Malinda Mascher Dill. He attended school in Mediapolis and Sperry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was self-employed as a backhoe operator and electrician. Survivors include four daughters, Marcia Campbell and husband Jeff of Oakville, Joyce Norton and husband Ron of West Point, Janet Ogata of Castaic, Calif., and Malinda 'Mindy' Dill of Mount Pleasant; a stepdaughter, Carol Beeding of Sparks, Nev.; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Mary Alice Smith of LaGrange, Ga.; a brother, Dale Dill of Georgia; an aunt, Mary Elliot; and an uncle, Charlie Dill. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donnie, Jim and Jerry; and a sister, Betty. [more]
