NATHAN C. BURKE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Nathan C. Burke, 23, of Muscatine, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Unity Hospital. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. The Rev. Jaye Johnson will officiate the services. Casket bearers are Brian Orr, Devon Krenz, Tim Burke, Cory Burke, Jim Allen, Collin Grady and Curtis Hidlebaugh. Honorary casket bearers are Bryce LaRue, James Osborne and Missy Sargent. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at the funeral home. Nathan was born on October 25, 1980, in St. Charles, Illinois, the son of Danny D. and Deborah Phillips Burke. He worked at Allsteel in the panel plant. . He enjoyed working on his car. He was an organ donor in hopes of finding a cure for epilepsy. Survivors include his father, Danny Burke and wife, Sue, of Muscatine; his mother, Deborah Doan and husband, Lambert, of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, Aaron Burke and wife, Jennifer, of North Aurora, Illinois, and Jason Burke of Muscatine; two nephews, Brandon and Dylan; his paternal grandmother, Betty Burke of Muscatine; his maternal grandmother, Mary Phillips of Grandview; seven aunts and uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
