Bertha Frick Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, funeral home. WALCOTT, Iowa #45;- Bertha G. Frick, 94, Walcott, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at New Jordan Cares Nursing Home, Wilton. The Rev. Darin Lovelace will officiate the services. Musical selections will be provided by Mabyn Fox, organist, and Henry Bentley, vocalist. Casket bearers are Scott Frick, Gregory Frick, Terry Hermiston, Dan Barr, Mike Lilienthal, John Lilienthal and Byron Frick. Burial will be at Walcott Cemetery, Walcott. Memorials may be made to the Walcott American Legion Auxiliary and to Genesis Auxiliary. Mrs. Frick was born Oct. 24, 1910, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Carl and Fredericka Grage Ploen. She married John Frick Feb. 12, 1936, in Davenport. He preceded her in death April 3, 1995. She was a member of the Walcott America Legion Auxiliary for 55 years and Davenport Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting and needle work. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Carol in infancy; three sisters, Helen Lamp, Grace Bockwoldt and Dorothy Lilienthal; two brothers, Henry Ploen and Carl Ploen; and a grandson, Kent Frick.
