Albert Banks Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill. Visitation: one hour prior to services Thursday, funeral home. ALEDO, Ill. #45;- Albert H. Banks, 87, Aledo, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. The Rev. Michael Kincaid will officiate the services. Private burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left at the funeral home for First Baptist Church, Aledo, or Parkinson's Research Foundation. Mr. Banks was born April 11, 1917, in Geneseo, Ill., the son of Thomas and Orpha Santee Banks. His first marriage was to June Beutler. He later married Frances Hyett Dec. 19, 1970, in Moline, Ill. He received his education from Muscatine schools. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1978, where he was employed as a machine tool operator. His memberships include the American Legion Fallerans Post 121, Aledo, the Muscatine American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid outdoorsman and outstanding woodcarver.
