ROBERT STUBBE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Robert Dean Stubbe, 74, of Muscatine, died Thursday, January 27, 2005, at his daughter's home after an extended illness. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. Reverend Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Robert Scudella, James Evans, Chad Harroun, Robert Yerington, Jeffrey Hart, Jamie Hart and Allen Wagamon. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post 27 and the V.F.W. Post 1565. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2005, at the funeral home. Robert was born on January 28, 1930, in Wood, South Dakota, the son of Paul and Marie Wagamon Stubbe. Following high school he went into the US Navy and served in the Korean Conflict as a demobilization officer. He retired from Alcoa in 1986 after 33 years of service. of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Chad Harroun of Muscatine, Robert Yerington of Madison, Wisconsin, Michelle Yerington of Muscatine, Jamie Hart of Denver, Colorado, Jeffery Hart of Denver, Colorado and Julie Hart of Denver, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Eli and Kaleb Harroun both of Muscatine; three brothers, Leroy H. Stubbe and wife, Barbara, of Greenville, Georgia and Paul James Stubbe of Hawaii, and John Wagamon and wife, Rose, of Fort Meyers, Florida; on sister, Phyllis I. Webster and husband, Ray, of Rock Island, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Marge Stubbe of Monticello; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister Dorothy Davis and one sister in infancy; and two brothers, John Paul Stubbe and Charles M. Stubbe.
