Dorothy 'Dot' Paulsen Services: 10:30 a.m. today, Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Visitation: 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, funeral home. DURANT, Iowa #45;- Dorothy 'Dot' W. Paulsen, 81, Durant, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Muscatine Care Center, Muscatine. The Rev. Darin Lovelace officiated the services. Musical selections were provided by Deb Mohr, organist, and John Crosheck, vocalist. Casket bearers were Dr. Micheal Schreck, Larry Schlapkohl, Darryl Paulsen, Dan Paulsen, Tim Schlapkohl and Troy Schlapkohl. Burial was at the Durant Cemetery, Durant. Memorials may be made to the Durant Lioness and the National Parkinson Foundation. Mrs. Paulsen was born April 22, 1923, in Durant, the daughter of Otto and Adelia Herring Schlapkohl. She married Eldon G. Paulsen Jan. 7, 1942, in Davenport. He preceded her in death March 30, 2002. She was a charter member of the Durant Lioness, where she had perfect attendance, and the Pythian Sisters. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and sewing.
