Donald Meeker CRANSTON, Iowa #45;- Donald Dean Meeker, 67, Cranston, died Friday, April 22, 2005, at his home. As per his wishes, the body has been cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Leigh Ann Meeker, P.O. Box 64, Grandview, IA 52752. Mr. Meeker was born June 3, 1937, the son of Fay and Florence Brookhart Meeker. He married Pat Morgan and they later divorced. He then married Barbara Fry and they divorced in 1980. He attended the Letts Consolidated Schools. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired from Carver Pump Co. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends. Survivors include two daughters, Leigh Ann Meeker and Sheila Meeker, both of Grandview; a grandson, Nicholas; a granddaughter, Kari; two sisters, Audrey Kropf of Letts and Beverly Clark of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harlan and Charles Meeker. [more]
