Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral amp; Cremation Services, 2907 Mulberry Ave. MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Lyle R. Stecher, 80, Muscatine, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Unity Hospital. Casket bearers are his grandsons, Brad Stecher, Chad Stecher, Jared Stecher, Justin Stecher, Tyson Beach, and Matt Mack. Honorary casket bearers are his granddaughters, Jill Beach, Lindsay Stecher, and Cara Mack. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Gannon Hall of St. Mary's Catholic Church. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Stecher was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Pleasant Prairie, the son of Albert E. and Mary McGee Stecher. He married Jo Anne K. Schultz Aug. 11, 1951, in Davenport. He was a lifetime farmer around the Pleasant Prairie area and a member of St. Mary's Church. He enjoyed his tractors, his two dogs, Abbie and Snowball, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bernice Hearst, Alberta Awbrey, and Mary Daufeldt; a son-in-law, Steve Christofferson; and a grandson, Brady Mack.
