Alice Catherine Kenerson

Alice Kenerson, age 89 of Pembroke, passed away of natural causes on March 19, 2021 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was born February 7, 1932 in Brockton MA to Frederick P. Stone and Glen E. Stone. Alice attended high school in Brockton, Massachusetts. On April 20, 1952, Alice married Arthur E. Kenerson. They celebrated 25 years of marriage and were the best of friends until Art's passing in 2000. Alice also held dear her former companion David Flaherty. Alice was a member and volunteer of the Pembroke Council of Aging for many years. She was a talented singer and dancer. In later years she took a fondness to coloring and crossword puzzles and loved to watch the Hallmark channel. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she would watch Christmas movies all year long. Alice was a lover of all animals. She had many pets throughout the years who brought her great joy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved any opportunity to attend a cookout or birthday party. She loved watching movies and it is a toss-up which movie she saw most in theaters, Dirty Dancing or Titanic. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Costello of Hanover, brother Frederick (Lance) Stone of Brockton, sister Glenda Stone of Hanover and brother Linwood (Bubby) Stone of Pembroke. Her children, son Mark Kenerson and his wife Michelle of Pembroke, daughter Cherié Barrett of SC, son Jay Kenerson of Taunton and daughter-in-law Gail Kenerson. Her grandchildren Mark Kenerson Jr. and his wife Nichole of Halifax, Matthew Kenerson of Pembroke, Michael Kenerson of Pembroke, Brendon Boates and his wife Lila of East Bridgewater, Courtney Chilingarian and her husband Greg of Taunton, Caitlin Stone and her husband Dan of Taunton, Justin Barrett of NC, Darby Eades and her husband Carlton of NC, and Tianna Rizzotto Kenerson of Hanson. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and many grand fur-babies. A memorial celebration is to be held at a later date.
