Suzanne Behal DURANT, Iowa #45;- Suzanne M. Behal, 68, Durant, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at her home. Private family services will be held at Bentley Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date at Durant Cemetery, Durant. Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance. Mrs. Behal was born June 20, 1936, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Russell and Elaine Pickrel Swartz. She married Leo A. Behal Feb. 12, 1955, in Omaha, Neb. She was the owner of Happy House, Durant, retiring in 2001 after 25 years. She was a former member and past president of the Durant and Bettendorf Jaycettes and member the Durant Chamber of Commerce. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. She loved to go out to eat and frequent the River Boat. She enjoyed collecting antiques, playing the piano, music and reading. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Debra Ward and husband Henry of Durant, Amy Behal of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Beth Behal of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three sons, Tim Behal and David Behal and wife Teresa, all of Durant, and Thomas Behal and wife Cindi of Bettendorf; a sister, Judy Lester of Loxahatchee, Fla.; two brothers, Tony Swartz and wife Helen of Kansas...[more]
