A memorial service will be held in the spring with inurnment in the West Branch Cemetery WEST BRANCH, Iowa - Helen Irene Lehman, 93, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006 at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch following an extended illness. According to her wishes, her body was cremated and a memorial service will be held in the spring with inurnment in the West Branch Cemetery. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church and Crestview Care Center activity fund. Mrs. Lehman was born Aug. 22, 1912, near Iowa City, the daughter of Daniel and Jesse Morrow Arnold. She was married to Irvin F. Lehman Feb. 21, 1934. He died March 2, 1977. She was a farm wife and later worked at ACT in Iowa City. She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church and the church circle, and several neighborhood clubs. She enjoyed playing cards and flower gardening.
