John E. Bigham

Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. today, funeral home. John E. Bigham, 48, Aledo, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Bigham was born Sept. 26, 1957, in Mercer County, Ill., the son of Richard and Eleanor Schmidt Bigham. He married Patricia Ramsdell on Jan. 30, 1981. He attended the Aledo schools. He began his career in the floor covering business working for his father at the R.D. Bigham Floor Covering Co., Aledo. He continued working for the company as an installer for more than 30 years. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Aledo. He enjoyed golfing in the Thursday evening Golf League at the Country Club and bowling in the Tuesday Night Bowling League at Millennium Lanes. He loved to fish and hunt and his proudest moments were when his two sons, Richard and Breck, won Illinois State Football Championships.
