Mary Helen Snyder

Mary Snyder Mary Helen Snyder, 89, Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Colonial Manor of Columbus Community, Columbus Junction. Her body will be cremated and private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Indian Creek Cemetery, rural Columbus Junction. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, is handling the arrangements. Mrs. Snyder was born July 11, 1916, in Columbus City, the daughter of Clyde J. and Bessie Burns Hanft. She married Harry J. "Pete" Snyder on July 28, 1934, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 2003. She attended elementary school in Columbus City and graduated from Columbus High School in 1933. She worked at restaurants and factories in Columbus Junction and then worked at Columbus Junction State Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Silver Leaf Rebekah Lodge No. 394 and the United Methodist Church, both of Columbus Junction. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
