Andy Jackson NEW BOSTON, Ill. -- Andy R. Jackson, 64, New Boston, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Jackson was born May 28, 1941, in Aledo, the son of Edwin and Muriel Reason Jackson. He married Ginger Diehl on June 4, 1961, in Keithsburg, Ill. He graduated from New Boston High School and attended Western Illinois University. He farmed in the New Boston area for 24 years and retired in 2003 from the H.J. Heinz Co., Muscatine. He was a member of and former director of the Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District. He loved to trap shoot, was a member of the NRA and enjoyed traveling and fishing in Minnesota.
