Salvatore M. Conti

Salvatore M. Conti, 94, of Hurley, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Ten Broeck Center in Lake Katrine, NY. He was born on March 8, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Filippo and Sebastiana (Bosco) Conti. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Milidantri) Conti, his children, Richard Conti and his wife Ellen, Diane Stein and her husband Jeff, Randy Conti and his spouse Doug Farrell, his grandchildren, Matthew, Joanna, Andrew, and Katie, and 5 great-grandchildren. Sal served in the Army during WWII and later met Connie; they were married on September 9, 1951 and lived on Long Island before relocating to Hurley. A long-time supporter of the arts, Sal was one of the founders of the New York Conservatory for the Arts in Hurley, NY. He taught photography and was a set designer and artist. He loved spending time with the students and parents, taking pictures and video, and was always joking around. He had a great sense of humor and was known for making people laugh and smile.
