Rick L. Garvin WEST LIBERTY, Iowa #45;- Rick L. Garvin, 49, formerly of Atalissa died Thursday June 8, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at the Overman Cemetery, Atalissa. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Garvin was born Nov. 20, 1956, at Fort Lewis, Wa., the son of Richard and Donna Kelley Garvin. He was a 1975 graduate of West Liberty High School. He had been employed with Sheller Globe in Iowa City for several years and most recently at John Lacina Landscaping. Survivors include a brother, Dan Garvin; sister, Lisa Garvin; grandmother, Dorothy Garvin and a special nephew Ryan all of Atalissa. He was preceded in death by his parents. [more]
